Ballet North Touring Events
Bringing the Magic of Ballet to your Hometown!

Ballet North can bring fully staged, full dress performances on tour during two different times during a season, one time with our Nutcracker performances in December, the other time in May with our Spring Festival of Dance. We have a full traveling stage set up including adjustable backdrops, dance surface, lighting array, sound array, and all costuming and props to create a full theatrical event in any open venue such as a gymnasium, large auditorium, or of course a theater if it is of sufficient size. All those details will be sorted out at the time of booking as no two towns are identical.

Either type of touring event, Nutcracker or Spring Festival of Dance, must be booked at least 6 weeks ahead of time. Performances must be on Friday evening, Saturday or Sunday and will be specified at the time of booking. The tour must be able to return to Gladstone on that same Sunday evening by 9 pm at the latest.

Maximum range with no overnight accommodations required: 50 miles in any direction from Gladstone Missouri.

Maximum range with overnight accommodations: 250 miles in any direction from Gladstone Missouri.

We will arrive via a tour bus and a truck + cargo trailer; set up will take place immediately upon arrival at the designated performance space; performances will begin after set up is completed. When all scheduled performances are concluded, all stage gear and equipment will be packed up and loaded back onto the trailer and tour bus. Exact performance runtime varies with each ballet, those details can only be specified at the time of booking.

For tours beyond 50 miles from Gladstone, 1 night accommodation at a nearby hotel for all tour members may be required and if so must be provided by host at no cost to Ballet North or any tour members.

The venue used for the performances is provided by host at no cost to Ballet North or any tour members.

What does it all cost? For an attempt to estimate costs, a basic estimate subject to change at the time of booking is the following:

Tour at up to 50 to 120 miles:
Tour bus for round trip up to 120 miles distance: $2200 - $3200
(ESTIMATED based on past usage!!!)

Ballet North touring performances beyond 120 miles up to 250 miles distance cost:
(includes road tech stage, all needed theatrical gear/lighting/gaffer rentals, and all internal expenses)
Estimated total: $5,200 - $6,200
